Samos Island

Samos island  lies  in the north eastern Aegean Sea and it is only 1,5 kilometer away from the coast of Minor Asia. Samos can be reached by plane from Athens, by  conventional ship and speed boats  from Piraeus port.  Samos is connected via Ferry boat with many islands and ports in the Aegean sea. Those ports are: Kavala, Mytilini, Chios, Ikaria, Patmos, Kos, Paros, Mykonos and a lot more. There is also daily connection during the summer months with Turkey in Minor Asia.  Samos international airport accepts direct and indirect flights form England, Germany, Austria, Finland, Chech  Republic, France and Italy.

Samos island history is rich as it is known to be the  birthplace  Pythagoras, a famous mathematician, Epicurus, a well known philosopher  and  Hera, Zeus  wife. This lavish island, is  covered with pine trees, that are reaching down to the sandy beaches. Some of the most beautiful beaches are Kokkari, Lemonakia, Mykali, and Potokali.Although most of the beaches are organized they still keep their original character.
While in Samos for your wedding or your honeymoon is worth visiting Karlovasi, Pythagorio, Kokkari, Vathi, the archaeological museum, the monasteries Agia Zoni and Zoodochos Pigi, the temple of Hera and Pythagoras cave and also not to forget to taste  the local wine, which matches amazingly with the local cuisine.
